Hi, I'm Tay!

Family has always been at the heart of who I am. I was born and raised in West Michigan, surrounded by the love and support of my parents, two siblings, and a close-knit extended family, many of whom also live in the state. My passion for art and composition was sparked at an early age and nurtured by my family’s encouragement. During my youth, I explored traditional mediums like graphite illustration and painting, spending countless hours bringing creative visions to life.

As I grew older, I didn’t have a clear vision for my future beyond the idea of attending college. With my parents' steadfast encouragement, I found my way to business school and eventually earned a Masters of Accountancy with a focus in Internal Audit from Davenport University. Those six years of study gave me a solid financial foundation, providing me with the tools to make informed decisions for both my personal and professional pursuits.

Why I started my business

As an adult, I found myself longing to reconnect with the creative side of me that had always felt so natural. I explored singing, piano, dance, and creative writing, dedicating time to each but struggling to find something that truly resonated. That’s when I discovered photography.

There’s something profoundly beautiful about telling the story of two people coming together to start a new chapter of their lives. I’m deeply inspired by the idea that these moments—captured in a single image—can be shared and cherished by future generations. I knew I wanted to offer this to others in a way that felt genuine and honest, without turning life’s precious moments into a grand production.

My Style

Documentary

Documentary photography is about observing rather than directing, preserving the little details and big feelings that make your wedding unique. It excludes posed, overly structured shots, favoring images that feel raw, personal, and true to your story.

My Style

Romantic

This element embraces the softer, intimate moments while incorporating an editorial edge, ensuring your photos feel polished and refined. This includes carefully guided poses, artful lighting, and an emphasis on capturing the bond you share. The result is a collection of photos that feels timeless and full of heart.

My Style

True to Life

I try to stay authentic to the light, colors, and tones of the day without heavy editing or unrealistic filters. This may seem contradictory to the romantic style, which has light posing, but really it complements the documentary style which will be the majority of your gallery.
